Power and Composite Technologies engineers and manufactures advanced composite materials for a wide range of industrial, commercial, and recreational uses. PCT started as a manufacturer of generator and field components for General Electric's massive power generators, and power generation components remain a core element of our business. However, our composite materials are now used for military, aerospace, racing, construction, and other applications, as well.
With facilities in New York (our headquarters) and in China, we have nearly 100,000 square feet of laboratory and production space. Our team of engineers can custom-design products to your specifications or we can generate specifications to meet your projected needs. Our facilities and expertise provide for a number of forming methods using an array of fibers and matrices, as well as advanced machining and finishing services.
PCT has the capability to work with milled fiber, chopped fiber, or continuous fiber made from E glass, S glass, carbon fiber, aramid fibers like Kevlar, or any of a number of other fibers with which to create composite materials. We work with numerous matrices and resins like bismaleimide (BMI), epoxy resins, acrylic resins, phenolic resins, vinyl/polyester, and more. We are also expert at developing advanced, custom matrices per specific requests.
Our forming capabilities include CNC filament winding, vacuum infusion, wet lay-up, compression molding, and thermoplastic molding, to name a few. We have several curing ovens and paint booths, as well as a complete certification, testing, and development laboratory for a comprehensive quality assurance program. Our finishing and machining services use the latest CNC machining tools and help us meet the strict tolerances our customers require.
