Filament-wound, fiberglass tubes provide very high strength-to-weight ratios, excellent electrical insulation properties and high resistance to corrosion. With various roving reinforcement capabilities, PCT filament-wound products use fiberglass and carbon fiber in a variety of resin matrices.

Proprietary and custom resin formulations and winding patterns have been developed to meet a wide variety of applications including tubes for military, industrial, and commercial applications.

Reinforcement materials
The winding process uses various reinforcement materials and resins, including E glass and S glass.

Winding Design Capability
Design requirements determine fiber placement. A steep wind angle, or hoop, provides radial strength, while shallow wind angle, or helix, provides axial strength and stiffness.

State-of-the-art, computerized winding equipment
State-of-the-art, computer-controlled winding maintains exact fiber placement within specific design tolerances, enables complex pattern production, and permits quick changeover from one item to another. Tubes up to 20-ft (12-m) in length and 9-ft (2.75-m) in diameter can be wound.

Machining Capability
With state-of the-art facilities that deliver turn key product solutions, PCT offers a full range of secondary process equipment including centerless grinders, precision CNC mills, and coating- and paint-spray booths.
